July 18, 2024 - Gascoyne Region – Get ready to immerse yourself in a celebration of homegrown music and culture as Beats in the Bay returns for its annual spectacle on Saturday September 7, 2024. With a showcase of local talent, diverse performances, roving entertainment, market stalls, and a vibrant community atmosphere, attendees are in for a day filled with unforgettable experiences.
Highlights of Beats in the Bay 2024:
1: WA Bands: Beats in the Bay proudly presents the finest WA talent as headliners for this year’s event, Sly Withers will take stage along with Littlefair, Sunsick, Alexia Parenzee and Whiskey Jack, showcasing their passion and artistry.
2: Diverse Acts: This festival features a range of rich experiences, including Fire twirling, light shows, Japanese drumming, hula hoop workshops and more, providing a rich tapestry of entertainment.
3: Under 18’s Musician Discovery: A groundbreaking initiative has been launched with the primary objective of discovering and nurturing aspiring artists under the age of 18, residing in the Gascoyne, Mid-West, and Pilbara regions of Western Australia. This project invites young musicians from these areas to submit their original music for a chance to perform a live paid set at the 2024 Beats in the Bay Festival in the stunning foreshore in Shark Bay.
4: Cultural enrichment: In addition to the musical offerings, Beats in the Bay showcases the regions rich cultural heritage through celebrating the contributions of Malgana people, as well as market stalls from a diverse range of local business owners.
5: Community spirit: As the heart of Beats in the Bay is a strong sense of community. Join fellow music enthusiasts, artists, and locals in celebrating the unique offerings of WA’s best.
This is a free community event, held on the Denham Foreshore, Shark Bay. Market stalls begin at 1pm, official opening of the music festival at 3pm.
