COVID-19 Update – Shire of Shark Bay
The Shire of Shark Bay continues to follow advice from the Western Australian Department of Health to help keep our community safe and informed.
While COVID-19 is now part of everyday life, it’s still important that we all do our part to protect those around us — especially our older residents, people with health conditions, and those working in health or aged care.
Current Advice for Our Community
-
Stay home if you’re unwell. If you have cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms, rest at home until you feel better.
-
Testing is optional but encouraged if you have symptoms and a test is available.
-
Masks are not required, but you may be asked to wear one in hospitals, aged care, or disability care settings.
-
Vaccinations and boosters are still recommended, especially if you’re older or more at risk.
-
Keep up healthy habits — wash or sanitise your hands often, keep spaces well ventilated, and consider physical distancing in busy indoor areas.
