The Shire of Shark Bay is holding an election by postal vote on Saturday 18 October 2025.

The prescribed burn is underway at the refuse site, do not be alarmed if you see or smell smoke. It will continue until 6pm today, resuming tomorrow 8am and concluding 6pm tomorrow, Friday 29 August.

Mosquito fogging has been delayed due to inclement weather. It has been rescheduled for next week, when the weather permits.

Mosquito fogging will be conducted tonight, Tuesday 17 June and Thursday 19 June from 5:00pm, weather permitting. Where possible stay indoors, close windows, cover fish, and bring pets inside.

The Shire is calling for expressions of interest from truck drivers, plant operators, labourers and for a refuse site role.

Public Hearing Notice to be held on the 08/05/2025 with the WA Local Government Grants Commission regarding Financial Assistance Grants.

The Shire is conducting works on the western end of Knight terrace, extending the footpath and resurfacing the carpark, during which time the footpath is closed. The carpark will be resurfaced at the end of construction, until which time it will remain open.
